These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Scrappy Stacks' website, tools, and services (collectively, the "Services"), operated by Scrappy Stacks ("we," "us," "our"). By using the Services, you agree to these Terms.

1. What We Do

Scrappy Stacks provides business formation paperwork assistance, website design and hosting, branding, marketing, and related done-for-you or self-serve services for small business owners. Free tools (idea generator, name generator) are provided as-is with no purchase required.

2. Not Legal or Tax Advice

We are not a law firm, accounting firm, or registered agent, and nothing we provide is legal, tax, or financial advice. Fictitious name filing assistance is limited to paperwork preparation and submission. For advice specific to your situation, consult a licensed attorney or accountant.

3. Payments & Subscriptions

One-time purchases (such as fictitious name filing) are billed in full at checkout. Recurring plans (Growth, Build It For Me) are billed monthly in advance and renew automatically until cancelled. Setup fees are one-time and non-recurring.

4. Cancellation & Pausing

You may pause or cancel any monthly subscription at any time from your account or by emailing us — no contracts, no cancellation fees. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; we don't provide prorated refunds for partial months.

5. Refunds

One-time purchases and setup fees are non-refundable once work has begun.

6. Ownership of Your Files

Any brand assets, website source files, and copy we create for you are yours to keep, including after cancellation. We retain no ownership claim over deliverables made specifically for your business.

7. Revisions

Where a plan includes unlimited revisions, this refers to reasonable refinement of work already in progress or delivered — not unrelated new work, which may be scoped and billed separately.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Services for anything unlawful, fraudulent, or that infringes another party's rights. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms.

9. Limitation of Liability

The Services are provided "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by law, Scrappy Stacks is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Services, including business losses or filing delays caused by third parties (such as state agencies).

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
